This week, I’m in San Diego for GTIA ChannelCon and the GTIA Executive Summit, joining hundreds of technology leaders, vendors, cybersecurity experts and managed service providers to discuss where our industry is headed.
While conferences are often associated with product announcements and flashy demos, the real value comes from something much less visible: the conversations. Some of the most important ideas never happen on a keynote stage. They happen over coffee, during peer discussions, walking the expo floor and in the moments when people openly share what’s working, what isn’t and where they believe the future is headed.
Over the past several months, I’ve written extensively about artificial intelligence because I believe we’re at an inflection point. AI is transforming the way organizations operate, but technology alone isn’t the story. The bigger challenge is determining how businesses adopt it responsibly, govern it effectively and create lasting value without introducing unnecessary risk.
That is why gathering so many different perspectives in one place matters. The future of AI won’t be shaped by a single company or one breakthrough product. It will be built through collaboration between MSPs, software developers, security experts, compliance professionals, vendors and business leaders who each bring a unique perspective to the table. When those voices come together, the entire industry becomes stronger.
For IntegraMSP, our responsibility has never been to chase every new trend. It is to understand what truly matters, separate signal from noise and help our clients make informed decisions that position them for long-term success. Every session I attend and every conversation I have this week will be viewed through that lens.
I’m especially interested in the discussions surrounding AI governance, operational maturity, cybersecurity and responsible adoption. As AI becomes part of everyday business operations, organizations will need more than powerful tools. They’ll need clear policies, thoughtful leadership and practical frameworks that allow innovation and security to exist together.
When I return home, my goal isn’t simply to have attended another conference. It’s to bring back practical ideas, fresh perspectives and stronger relationships that ultimately benefit our clients. That’s the value of communities like GTIA. They challenge our thinking, expose us to new ideas and remind us that none of us has all the answers—but together, we can build better ones.
The conversations happening this week will help shape not only the future of our industry, but how businesses of every size adopt AI with confidence. I’m looking forward to listening, learning, challenging my own assumptions and bringing those insights back to the organizations that trust us to help guide their technology decisions.
