A Letter From Jennifer
Well, September and October certainly didn't leave much room for boredom!
As I started pulling together everything we've been doing over the past two months, I realized just how much ground we've covered. Between speaking engagements, industry recognition, community involvement, professional development, and the day-to-day work of supporting our clients, it has been an exceptionally busy fall at IntegraMSP.
And there's been plenty to celebrate.
We were honored to have IntegraMSP featured in a CompTIA case study recognizing our commitment to AI education. I was also named a finalist for the 2026 MSP Titans of the Industry Awards in the Woman Owned/Led category, an honor that means a great deal to me personally and reflects the people and work behind our company.
I've also had opportunities to contribute to some meaningful industry conversations, including Kaseya's MSP Growth Stories panel and our recent Conversations with Women in Tech event at TruPeer in Orlando. Those experiences reinforced something I believe strongly: the best ideas often come from people willing to share their experiences, challenge assumptions, and learn from one another.
On the technology side, we've watched AI evolve from an exciting opportunity into a much more serious business conversation. Customers, insurers, and legal counsel are beginning to ask organizations how AI is being used, what safeguards exist, and whether those safeguards can be demonstrated. That's a significant shift, and one we've been preparing for at IntegraMSP.
Of course, technology hasn't stopped providing its usual assortment of surprises either. From mysteriously yellow web browsers to pink lines on iPhone screens, we've had a few reminders that sometimes the most helpful IT advice is also the simplest.
Beyond the technology, we've continued investing in our people, supporting our community and celebrating the organizations we're fortunate enough to work alongside.
There's a lot to catch up on, so let's get into it.
President, IntegraMSP

Your Clients Want to Know How You Use AI. Can You Prove You're Using It Responsibly?

For much of the past year, we've been talking about the importance of establishing AI governance before businesses become heavily dependent on the technology.
Now those conversations are becoming much more immediate.
Organizations are beginning to encounter questions about AI usage in customer agreements, insurance renewals, vendor reviews, and compliance requirements. It's no longer enough to simply say your organization has an AI policy. Businesses are increasingly being asked to demonstrate that they understand where AI is being used, what information it can access and how associated risks are being managed.
That doesn't mean businesses should be afraid of AI. Quite the opposite. We believe AI represents extraordinary opportunities for organizations of every size.
But opportunity and accountability go hand in hand.
In our latest feature, we explore why responsible AI adoption is becoming an important part of business relationships and what organizations can do now to prepare for the questions their customers may soon be asking.

A Practical Question for Every Business
We Know Cars Are Dangerous. We Drive Them Anyway. What Does That Teach Us About AI?

What would you compare artificial intelligence to in terms of its impact on humanity?
Electricity? The automobile? The internet?
During a recent peer group conversation, I suggested electricity. Another peer suggested the automobile, and the more we discussed it, the more interesting that comparison became.
Cars provide tremendous value. They can also cause tremendous harm. Yet society didn't abandon the automobile because it introduced risks. We developed safety standards, infrastructure, regulations, and technologies to make using it safer.
And we continue improving those safeguards today.
Why should our approach to AI be fundamentally different?
We don't need to choose between embracing innovation and demanding responsible safeguards. We can recognize the benefits while also working to understand and reduce the risks.

AI Risk Is Already Showing Up. Governance Cannot Wait.

AI-related risks are increasingly entering discussions about insurance coverage, vendor contracts, and customer requirements. Businesses need visibility into the AI systems they're using and a practical approach to managing those risks.
This article looks at why organizations should begin documenting AI usage and establishing appropriate controls now, rather than waiting until a customer or insurer asks for proof.

We Already Use Claude

We hear this frequently when speaking with law firms, and it's a perfectly reasonable starting point.
Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and purpose-built legal AI applications can all provide tremendous value. But simply using a platform doesn't mean an organization has evaluated whether it's appropriate for the work being performed.
For law firms, considerations around confidential client information, account management, professional responsibilities and AI-generated content are particularly important.
The better question isn't whether a firm uses AI. It's whether the firm is using the right AI, with the right controls, for the right work.
Before You Give AI the Keys to Your Business

AI assistants are becoming considerably more capable, particularly when connected to company email, calendars, documents, and business applications.
Those connections are also what make appropriate security controls so important.
Before connecting an AI assistant to business systems, organizations should understand what information it can retrieve, what actions it can perform and which decisions require human authorization.

The Technology Is New. The Business Model Isn't.

New AI capabilities are raising familiar questions about privacy, personal information, and the ways collected data can be used to influence behavior.
In this article, we revisit earlier concerns surrounding personal data and political influence, including the Cambridge Analytica era, and examine how AI is increasing the sophistication and scale of practices that have existed for years.
Sometimes the most important thing about new technology is recognizing the patterns that aren't new at all.

AI Has Become Business Infrastructure. Recent Outages Expose the Risk.

When a business relies on an AI platform for everyday work, an outage becomes more than an inconvenience.
Recent disruptions across major AI providers have highlighted a familiar business continuity challenge. Organizations increasingly depend on technology without always establishing alternatives for when those systems become unavailable.
If an AI platform is essential to your operations, it's time to include that dependency in your continuity planning.

Practical Technology Tips
Why Did My Browser Turn Yellow After a Windows Update?

Sometimes technology problems are just plain annoying.
After a recent Windows update, some users noticed that Chrome, Edge, and other applications suddenly appeared to have a yellow or cream-colored tint.
We experienced the problem ourselves, and IntegraMSP technician Bryant Grimaldo identified a straightforward workaround involving the browser's color profile settings.
The solution takes only a few moments and may save users a surprising amount of frustration.
And yes, there's something particularly satisfying about solving a Microsoft-related problem and watching our article appear as a leading reference in Google's AI search results.
Nice work, Bryant!

Pink Line on Your iPhone Screen? Don't Ignore It.

I spend a considerable amount of time reminding people not to ignore small technology problems until they become bigger ones.
Apparently, I needed to take my own advice.
After living with a faint pink line on my iPhone screen for months, I finally reached the point where I couldn't ignore it anymore.
One of our technicians showed me just how easy it was to get started with Apple Support directly from my phone.
It's a small story, but there's a useful lesson in it. Sometimes people delay fixing a problem because they assume the solution will be more complicated than it actually is.
Having someone knowledgeable point you in the right direction makes all the difference.

Website Security: Important PHP Vulnerabilities

In October, we shared an advisory regarding critical PHP security vulnerabilities that could affect business websites.
Many organizations rely on outside website developers or hosting providers and understandably assume those systems are being maintained.
If your organization uses PHP-based website infrastructure, it's important to confirm that your website provider has reviewed the relevant security updates and taken appropriate action.
IntegraMSP doesn't directly manage client websites, but we believe helping clients recognize potential risks is an important part of being a trusted technology partner.

💬 Beyond the Blog
Follow my latest thoughts on AI governance, emerging risks, leadership, and the technology trends shaping business today.
Our blog is where we publish practical guidance. LinkedIn is where I explore the conversations, trends, and ideas shaping AI, governance, leadership, and business strategy.
Throughout the month, I share industry news, conference takeaways, conversations with peers, and observations from the front lines as businesses navigate AI adoption. If you'd like to follow along—or join the discussion—I'd love to connect.
IntegraMSP Featured in CompTIA AI Readiness Case Study

One of our proudest accomplishments this fall was seeing IntegraMSP recognized in a CompTIA case study highlighting our approach to artificial intelligence education.
Earlier this year, every member of our team completed CompTIA AI Essentials training and earned their CompCert.
Not just the technicians. Not just leadership. Everyone.
We made that decision because AI is no longer exclusively an IT issue. Its impact extends into operations, customer service, administration, leadership, and nearly every other business function.
If we're going to help our clients navigate AI readiness and responsible adoption, we believe we need to make that same commitment within our own organization.
We're grateful to CompTIA and GTIA for helping make this education accessible and for sharing our story.

Jennifer Gilligan Named 2026 MSP Titans Finalist
We're proud to share that IntegraMSP President Jennifer Gilligan was named a finalist for the 2026 MSP Titans of the Industry Awards in the Woman Owned/Led category.
The recognition celebrates leadership and contributions within the managed services industry.
For Jennifer, the nomination represents both personal professional growth and the work being done by the entire IntegraMSP team.
Over the past year, she has taken on an increasingly active role in industry leadership, education, and advocacy while continuing to help guide IntegraMSP's growth and development.
Congratulations, Jennifer, and to the other outstanding finalists!
Conversations With Women in Tech: Finding Your Voice
In October, Jennifer joined Annette Slavik, Mary Burris, Maryann Lucks, and Kara Petti at TruPeer in Orlando for Conversations With Women in Tech: Finding Your Voice.
The discussion focused on the experiences, people, and opportunities that help women build confidence, recognize their value, and grow as leaders.
Importantly, the conversation wasn't intended exclusively for women. Men were actively encouraged to participate, listen, and contribute.
Because building a stronger industry isn't about having separate conversations. It's about creating opportunities for everyone to contribute and lead.
The response to the panel was meaningful, with attendees sharing how the discussion challenged their perspectives and encouraged them to think differently about mentorship, advocacy, and leadership.
We're proud of Jennifer's continued involvement in conversations that help move our industry forward.
Building Community Through GTIA
This fall also brought continued involvement with the Global Technology Industry Association.
Jennifer has been working to develop the GTIA Dallas Chapter, bringing together technology professionals, business leaders, and industry partners for opportunities to learn, collaborate, and strengthen our local technology community.
She's also participating in GTIA leadership conversations and peer communities focused on sharing experiences and supporting professional growth.
We believe a healthy technology industry is one where businesses collaborate, exchange ideas, and help one another succeed.

Our Team is what makes us special.
Below are a few highlights from the last two months as
we celebrated them!
Celebrating Our People
Behind every support ticket, client project, technology recommendation and successful implementation is a team of people who care about the work they do.
September and October gave us plenty of opportunities to recognize the dedication, initiative and contributions of our staff.

Team Spotlight: Bryant Grimaldo

A special acknowledgment this edition goes to Bryant Grimaldo, who has been contributing across field services and centralized technical support.
In September, Bryant identified a practical fix for the frustrating browser color issue affecting Windows users. His solution not only helped our own team but also became a widely visited resource for people experiencing the same problem.
It's a great example of how initiative and a willingness to investigate something unusual can make a difference well beyond a single support request.
We appreciate Bryant's curiosity, technical problem-solving and contributions to IntegraMSP.
⭐ Client Spotlight: Payne & Blanchard, LLP: Relationships Built on Mutual Respect

One of our favorite traditions is recognizing the clients who make our work especially rewarding.
In September, we highlighted Payne & Blanchard, LLP, a Dallas law firm serving the legal community since 1979.
When we asked our team about clients they particularly enjoy supporting, Van Adrian Castillo immediately mentioned the Payne & Blanchard team.
He described them as approachable, respectful and appreciative of the work being done.
Those relationships matter.
We believe great IT support is built on more than technical expertise. It requires communication, trust and a willingness to work together.
We're grateful to Payne & Blanchard for the partnership and for the opportunity to support their work.

Giving Back to Our Community
A Parisian Evening Supporting Serving Our Seniors

October ended on a particularly meaningful note as IntegraMSP proudly sponsored Serving Our Seniors' Festival of Friends Gala — A Parisian Night in Black & White.
Dan Gilligan, Suraya Smith and Jennifer Gilligan attended on behalf of IntegraMSP, joining community members and supporters for an evening celebrating the organization's work.
Serving Our Seniors helps older adults throughout Northeast Tarrant County maintain their independence and quality of life through free transportation, home repair and safety assistance, and social outreach programs.
These are services that make a real difference to people who want to continue living independently while remaining connected to their communities.
The evening was beautifully coordinated, and the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved made it a wonderful celebration of the organization's mission.
Special thanks to Michelle Meyer for her outstanding event coordination, and congratulations to the entire Serving Our Seniors team on what appeared to be a very successful fundraising event.
We believe being part of a community means doing more than conducting business in it. Supporting organizations that make a difference in people's lives is something we're proud to do.
A Little IntegraMSP Tradition: The State Fair of Texas

Not every great company tradition involves meetings, presentations, or team-building exercises.
Every year, IntegraMSP provides our local employees with tickets to the State Fair of Texas, food coupons, parking, and a paid day off to enjoy the experience.
No agenda. No required group outing.
Just an opportunity to step away from work and enjoy something uniquely Texas.
Dan and Jennifer also maintain their own State Fair tradition, using a business development day to walk the fair, support local businesses, and talk about the future of IntegraMSP.
Some of our best ideas happen when we get away from our desks.
Company culture isn't built exclusively through policies and mission statements. Sometimes it's built through the little traditions that people look forward to year after year.
And possibly a questionable amount of fried food.
Fall Forward Thoughtfully
Looking Ahead: Responsible AI Starts With Understanding Your Business
Over the past two months, one message has appeared repeatedly throughout our articles, conversations and industry involvement.
AI is not the problem. Unmanaged operational complexity is.
Businesses don't need to avoid AI or hold back worthwhile innovation. They do need to understand which tools are being used, how those tools interact with company information and what safeguards are appropriate.
That's why IntegraMSP developed our AI Readiness Assessment.
We work with organizations to identify AI usage, evaluate technology and security risks, recognize governance gaps and develop a practical roadmap for responsible adoption.
Whether your business is just beginning to explore AI or already using it across multiple departments, understanding your current environment is an important first step.
