As we head into the second half of the year, it's becoming increasingly clear that the conversation around artificial intelligence is changing.

Just a few months ago, most discussions centered on what AI could do. Today, we're seeing organizations ask much tougher questions: What data can these tools access? How do we govern them? Are we creating new risks without realizing it?

To help answer those questions, we recently attended Pax8 Beyond, one of the technology industry's largest conferences, where nearly every keynote, breakout session, and vendor announcement reinforced the same message. AI is no longer an emerging technology—it's rapidly becoming part of everyday business operations. As adoption accelerates, governance, security, and visibility are proving to be just as important as productivity.

Over the past month, we've expanded the resources available to help our clients navigate this evolving landscape. We've introduced our new AI Readiness Assessment, published several articles exploring AI governance and business risk, and created practical resources—including a new infographic explaining why tools like Claude Co-Work deserve a closer look before they're adopted inside an organization.

We're also excited to welcome a new member to the IntegraMSP team (be sure to meet them below!), and we'd like to remind everyone that our office will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day, allowing our team time to celebrate the holiday with family and friends. We'll resume normal business hours on Monday, July 6.

As always, thank you for allowing us to be your trusted technology partner. Our goal has never been to slow innovation—it's to help you embrace it with confidence. We look forward to helping your organization take advantage of AI while maintaining the governance, security, and visibility needed to support your business for years to come.

Happy Fourth of July, and we hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday!

New Resource: Understanding AI Risk in Plain English

Over the past few months, one question has come up again and again:

"How do we know whether an AI tool is safe to use?"

The answer isn't always simple. Modern AI assistants can integrate with Microsoft 365, access business data, operate using your existing permissions, and interact with information in ways many organizations don't fully realize. That doesn't mean these tools should be avoided—it means they should be understood.

To help explain one example, we've created a simple, high-level infographic that illustrates how Claude Co-Work can interact with business environments and why visibility, governance, and user permissions matter before deploying AI tools at scale.

While this infographic focuses on one specific platform, the concepts apply broadly across today's rapidly growing AI ecosystem.

If reading it raises questions about how AI is already being used within your own organization, our new AI Readiness Assessment is designed to help. We'll help you understand where AI is interacting with your users, Microsoft 365 environment, business data, and security controls—so you can move forward with confidence.

Recent Insights

AI is evolving quickly, and we're committed to helping clients understand not only what's changing, but why it matters. Here are a few of the conversations we've been having this month.

šŸ“° From Our Blog

AI Governance Won't Be Driven by Regulators Alone

Increasingly, AI governance isn't being shaped only by government regulation. Cyber insurers, customers, contractual requirements, and business risk are all beginning to influence how organizations evaluate and manage AI. Waiting for formal regulation may mean waiting too long.

AI’s Warning From the Top: Will Anyone Actually Slow Down?

Technology leaders continue to urge organizations to adopt AI responsibly, yet competitive pressure is pushing many businesses to move faster than their governance processes can keep up. Innovation is important—but so is understanding the risks that come with it.

The Race to Adopt AI Is Giving Way to the Need to Govern It

The conversation is shifting. Organizations are no longer asking whether they should use AI—they're asking how to govern it responsibly. This article explores why governance is quickly becoming one of the most important business discussions surrounding AI adoption.

AI's Next Challenge Isn't Adoption. It's Proof.

Technology is evolving quickly—but your people remain your greatest strength and, at times, your greatest vulnerability.

As AI becomes part of everyday business operations, "AI-proofing" your organization isn't about banning new tools or slowing innovation. It's about creating the right guardrails so employees can use AI confidently, securely, and responsibly.

In this article, we explore why AI readiness goes beyond technology. It includes governance, employee awareness, clear policies, approved tools, and leadership visibility into how AI is being used across the organization. The goal isn't to eliminate risk entirely—it's to understand it before it becomes a business problem.

If your organization is asking, "How do we embrace AI without losing control?" this is a great place to start.

šŸ’¬ Beyond the Blog

Follow my latest thoughts on AI governance, emerging risks, leadership, and the technology trends shaping business today.

Our blog is where we publish practical guidance. LinkedIn is where I explore the conversations, trends, and ideas shaping AI, governance, leadership, and business strategy.

Throughout the month, I share industry news, conference takeaways, conversations with peers, and observations from the front lines as businesses navigate AI adoption. If you'd like to follow along—or join the discussion—I'd love to connect.

AI's Cost Reckoning Has Begun

As organizations invest heavily in AI, the conversation is shifting from excitement to accountability. Are the productivity gains delivering the expected return on investment? Hidden costs—including governance, change management, employee trust, and data readiness—are becoming part of the equation.

Are We Losing Skills While Gaining Speed?

AI is helping us work faster than ever—but are we becoming too dependent on it?

This month, I shared an insightful article by Andrew Morgan that explores a question many organizations are beginning to ask: What happens when convenience starts replacing critical thinking?

AI is an incredible tool for increasing productivity, but it shouldn't replace human judgment, creativity, or problem-solving. As businesses continue integrating AI into everyday work, leaders need to think beyond efficiency and consider how these tools are shaping employee skills, decision-making, and long-term organizational resilience.

It's another reminder that responsible AI adoption isn't just about the technology—it's about the people using it.

Sometimes Shadow AI Starts with a Simple Click

Not every security incident begins with malicious intent. Sometimes it starts with a busy employee searching for ChatGPT, clicking what appears to be the right result, and unknowingly using an unapproved AI platform. It's a reminder that effective AI governance isn't about assuming people make perfect decisions—it's about providing clear guidance and approved tools.

Our Team is what makes us special.

Below are a few highlights from the last month as we celebrated them!

Sitting in traffic when an All Metals Fabricating truck pulled up beside us, and of course, I had to grab a photo.

One of the coolest parts of what we do is getting a behind-the-scenes look at so many different businesses. Then every once in a while, you see one of them out on the road and get a little reminder of the incredible work happening all around us every day.

Also, that's a pretty good-looking truck. 😊

Proud to work with great companies like All Metals Fabricating.
